pressing on the<\/p>\n<p>red breast of the heart, a shallow pulse lifts,<\/p>\n<p>skips a beat and then declines,<\/p>\n<p>raising a puckered flag of surrender.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The time has come to lure a deep unsounding breath,<\/p>\n<p>hold it until the hurt stops<\/p>\n<p>to survey the fray in the sphere where memory ignites,<\/p>\n<p>splintering the once full spent hours of the
