it\u2019s snowing. still.<\/p>\n

in the buttery white<\/p>\n

snow, a line of officers<\/p>\n

stands out, on the empty<\/p>\n

long square.<\/p>\n

if one breathes one smells,<\/p>\n

warm, a cloud full of time, drawn<\/p>\n

from corner to<\/p>\n

house corner. time<\/p>\n

between the years, the<\/p>\n

coal a scorched scent in the<\/p>\n

red cabbage.<\/p>\n

vaguely convoluted<\/p>\n

in the block, the huge<\/p>\n

square, in flat white, in the<\/p>\n

snow a row<\/p>\n

of soldiers. the dogs<\/p>\n

are searching and panting,<\/p>\n

you can see<\/p>\n

them, from the car.<\/p>\n

if you happen to come out,<\/p>\n

it\u2019ll snow. you get<\/p>\n

out at the train station,<\/p>\n

you exit the side door,<\/p>\n

escaping. the urgency<\/p>\n

cuts coldly through<\/p>\n

your lungs, you<\/p>\n

find neither car<\/p>\n

nor man. you force yourself<\/p>\n

to saunter, the<\/p>\n

snow is an echo,<\/p>\n

a vague, blurry<\/p>\n

eye of wire; charged.<\/p>\n

from time to time a<\/p>\n

song of certainty melts away<\/p>\n

in the square.<\/p>\n
